I finished Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty about two {or was it three??} weeks ago. I haven't been able to write a review due to health issues (I had surgery and haven't been able to sit, lay, focus, etc. for over a week now. I'm still not 100% but I wanted to get this review out before I get too far behind!) I really enjoyed this book- especially because it touched on the hidden lives we all live, what we don't show our friends, what we choose to ignore or pretend doesn't exist. Titles like this open a readers eyes to what could potentially be going on with their neighbors, friends, coworkers, family, enemies, etc. You never truly understand or know what goes on behind closed doors, after the workplace, after school, after that "catch-up" cup of coffee you had last week. The only issue I had with this book was the title- I wasn't quite sure what the LIE was- unless it was referring to the lies we tell ourselves to get though the day, in which this now makes complete sense. (I blame the pain medications they have me on- boy are they good and boy do they make me loopy!)
I know this is not the best review or the most well written - I apologize - I feel like a broken record but health issues suck :( :(
Overall: 4/5
Goal: 43/55
